Research on Kilpin, and his work in relation to the broader context
of art history, was undertaken as a component of the Community-University
Research Alliance (CURA) program between 2001 and 2003. The CURA program
encouraged partnerships between Univeristy of Victoria faculty and
students, and community museums and art galleries in British Columbia.
Focusing on interesting collections, the project helped to enrich
community collections by adding to our knowledge about them. The following
essays were prepared by students and faculty as part of the project.
A catalogue is also available, and can be obtained through contacting
the Langley
Centennial Museum. Funding for CURA was provided by the Social
Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
