ORAL HISTORIES DIGITIZATION PROJECT

Alexander Beaton and Sons
LCM # 1261

The conversion of analog sound recordings to digital audio files is a recently new endeavour by museums and archives. The following PDF files describe the Langley Centennial Museum project, including the instructions that technicians at the Museum developed and used to undertake our project.

We hope our experience will be helpful to others undertaking similar projects. Our project, however, is just one project among many -- standards, equipment, and best practices in this area are constantly changing and evolving.
